Please Help Bring Daddy Joeport Home :)

That's me and my Dad, Joeport.

I'm a Daddy's girl. Maybe because I won big time in the Dad lottery. I simply could not have asked for a better father.

Here's the thing... We need your help please. Dad has been confined in the hospital since Apr. 10, for pneumonia and urinary issues. An allergy to certain antibiotics compounded the issue, covering him with rashes for several days. He has also needed a ventilator to support his breathing, and unfortunately, he will still need help from breathing equipment even when he goes home.

I know this has been tough on him, especially since he's been a stroke patient for more than 20 years. He is no longer mobile, and is hardly able to speak. And so whatever pain or discomfort he has, he carries it in silence.

But you know what, that's the thing about my dad. He's always been a fighter. So I know he has been fighting to hang on.

I love my Dad very much, and there's practically nothing I wouldn't do to help him see this through. However, while I would want to confidently tell him, and the hospital admin, "I've got this," it's actually been tough.

The hospital bill (including doctors' fees) to date is more than Php 750k already. While there is gov't support (senior's citizen etc) there is also the challenge of sourcing a machine / ventilator, accessories, and oxygen, to be used at home, when he gets discharged. So I'm mounting this fundraiser to help him get the care he deserves. (We would most appreciate whatever assistance you can extend, or if you can refer contacts I can approach for a medium-term loan.)
