In Africa, hunger is a constant, chronic pain gnawing away at hungry children. Starving children in Africa can, and should, become a thing of the past. We must put an end to starvation in Africa and we can’t do it without you. Right now, children are living on the brink of famine and millions of girls and boys need emergency food assistance to survive. Zimbabwe African Child Organization has many proven ways to help stop hunger in Africa and beyond.

The suffering of children is one of the most difficult things to witness. Especially vulnerable to the effects of poverty and conflict, children are the hardest hit when faced with challenges that even adults would find difficult to cope with.

Each day millions of children across the world face formidable struggles, whether it’s through wars, disasters, drought or disease – and all too often become orphaned as a result. For many orphans, the threat of poverty is constant. Where will the next meal come from? Where are we going to live? If we get sick and can’t afford medicine…will we survive?

And if they make it through childhood facing hunger, poverty and insecurity, they have little hope for a better life. Without an education and the tools to support themselves, there is small chance of a brighter future ahead.

About Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe has suffered massive food shortages since 2002, due to the country’s ongoing economic crisis. Small farms failed and the commercial farming industry collapsed. Families in Zimbabwe rely on rations of food aid to survive. Nearly half the population — about 5 million people — is in need of food aid.

Our mission at Zimbabwe African Child is to meet the needs of the world's poor, sick and suffering. We commit to doing our best to honor the specific designation of each gift we receive. we will also use your gift to support other families and communities in similar situations
