A Fight for their Own Land – Community Empowerment

Let's help and create a fund-generating system to help the community sustain their monthly financial needs to support their on-going civil case for ownership of their 25-year old residential land.

There are 3 communities with more than 200 families were battling for 3 years now against abusive, powerful individuals who took them into court wanting to claim their 8-hectare residential lands (now values at estimated Php40,000 per sqm). However, the Philippine Law and their legitimacy still prevailing. I am confident that if they will be able to continue showing up in court, meet their lawyers and present their legit documents, they will soon formally claim their land.

1/3 of the funds will go to their cooperative (to be registered) and the other 2/3 will go to a project that will produce monthly funds.

Don't let them become homeless! They are not the poorest of the poor but they will if they lose the case. We will empower them by keeping their homes, provide income-generating activities, help create cooperative and provide educational assistance to the youth.
