Campaign Story
On December 22, 2017, Typhoon Vinta (Tembin) hit our small town Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay, Mindanao, Philippines ensuing flashfloods, landslides, dilapidated structures and establishments, washed out homes, several injuries and a handful of casualties. One of the most damaged and severely affected area is the Barangay Banker, where the major river of our town is situated. According to the residents, it rose to as high as 50 feet during the storm, washing away all houses built at the riverbanks leaving a handful of families homeless and in serious need of financial and moral support to get by with their daily needs, hence this fundraising campaign. I saw firsthand the situation a day following the disaster as we visited the area as medical respondents. All affected families, including the neighboring barangays still badly need your help and support even up to this time. Your donation will be much appreciated; no matter how big or small it can be, it will surely go a long way.
