Our Fight for my brother

Hi everyone! We are in need of dire help for my youngest brother, Jovel.

Jovel is a sweet and caring brother who always looked after his sisters even though he is the youngest. He pursued his dream of becoming a teacher through a scholarship. He had to work while in college to help our family as my father, a hardworking fisherman just didn't have enough to support us.

Jovel finished his studies even through all these hardships. He was so happy. A dedicated teacher, he gave his best to his students every time. He was also taking his Masters while teaching. Another goal he wanted to accomplish in life.

Everything was going well when the unexpected happened. He suddenly felt symptoms of stomach ache, dizziness, loss of appetite, difficulty in breathing and vomiting of blood. He tried to ignore these and just continued teaching. Then it all became worse so fast that he had to be rushed to the hospital one day. After some tests, he was diagnosed with Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a condition characterized by a gradual loss of kidney function over time. It was the saddest day for our family.

He was eventually admitted to the National Kidney Center to undergo dialysis because both of his kidneys are no longer functioning. We were advised that a kidney transplant should be done as soon as possible to save my brother's life.

While searching for a donor that will match Jovel's. We need to continue supporting his dialysis and medication. The operation and preliminary medication's estimate is cost 1.6 million pesos and another 300,000 pesos for after operation medication expenses. A sum of money we absolutely can't afford even if we sell everything we have.

We are begging for all the help we can get to raise the funds. Our heart bleeds for my brother who is only 23 years old. Knocking in your hearts, please help us save my brother.
