Ezra Campaign

We belong to the JSOS (Jesus: Sovereign Overcoming Shepherd ) Christian Church formerly Jesus Supreme Overruling Shepherd, an independent, growing born again Christian group based in Angono, Rizal, the Philippines.

JSOS Christian Church is committed to further God’s kingdom wherever He may lead us. In addition to offering services on Sundays and Thursdays, we have been given vision and burden to pioneer projects and campaigns which have so far been proven, by God’s Grace and for His glory, as serving not just our members, but the other churches and communities as well. These include the Rizal Bible Art Festival, Modern Handwritten Bible Campaign, Bible Jam Up Front, Kabataang Kristyano sa Kampus (KKK), and the KKATTHA (Katipunan ng mga Kristiyanong Alagad ng titik, Teatro, Himig at Arts).

Our small church became a spiritual and temporal haven for these activities, as well as, strong community partner.

However, due to the increasing number of brethren, and with the on-going church projects and campaigns, our area became insufficient. Thus, we planned and prayed for renovation and expansion of our building to 3-storey - for a bigger and conducive place of worship, multipurpose areas, art gallery and for different offices. At present, there are more than 150 members of the church, with lot area of 245 square meter, but worship area of 306 square meter. The prospective budget cost of the building is PhP 12 million.

It is also worth mentioning that the street where our small church building is located in Rainbow Village, is prone to floodwaters. Back in 2009, with typhoon Ondoy and in 2012 because of habagat, our church building submerged, and were not able to hold our regular church worship service there for couple of months.

Considering that most of our members today belong to the marginalized sector of society, we humbly feel that we really need to let others know of our situation. People who may have open hearts and minds to help us move forward in our collective journey as a born again Christian church dedicated to cause of Christ, even beyond our group.

For our part, we will be making members’ commitment to make pledge and/or faith promise on the matter.

Helping our church build this building will help also the body of Christ in many ways in forms.
