We need your help in raising medical funds for our Yaya Dinah. She is suffering from gastric cancer and is confined in Corazon Locsin Memorial Hospital in Bacolod, Negros Occidental.

She is set to undergo an operation to remove the tumor in her stomach which blocks the passage of food from the stomach to the intestines. However, because she can't eat and only relies on dextrose, she is very weak and the doctor advised that she cannot undergo a major operation unless she recovers her strength. She developed pneumonia and is currently intubated because she can't breathe properly by herself. She goes in and out of consciousness but she is fighting so hard. And we want to give her the chance to fight harder and longer, and hopefully beat cancer. But we really need your help.

Our Yaya Dinah has been with us since my Ate Pam was born in 1982. She has taken care of us (we are four sisters) her entire life and loved us like her own. I don't know what life is without her. She has been with me through it all, from my first awards in school, first dance number, first field trip, first communion, first tricycle ride, first boyfriend, first pregnancy, first job, and many more. When my Ate married and started a family of her own, Yaya Dinah went with her to take care of her two daughters.

Last July or August, she started to feel sick. Telling us she has trouble keeping her food down and started to feel weak. My Ate had her undergo medical exams and tests. The doctors couldn't tell us what was wrong, there were always tests that still needed to be done to confirm whatever sickness Yaya had. By September, Yaya decided to retire and go home to Bacolod. Her test results were sent to Bacolod and doctors found a malignant tumor in her stomach.

She was confined last November 23 in a charity ward. We weren't aware that she was already in the hospital and we only got to visit her last December 6, Thursday. Me, Ate Pam, and Pau were on emergency leave and only had a day to spend with her, our flight back to Manila was on Friday, December 7. Once we got to the hospital, we did everything we can to make her more comfortable and well taken cared of. We requested that she be transferred to a semi-private room and that a specialist be called to see her. The night of December 6, she was transferred to the surgery ward, since there were no available private or semi-private rooms, but it still was a lot better than her previous room. We called for an oncologist to examine her and take care of her before our flight back to Manila.

Now she is in the ICU fighting for her life. We have yet to be updated by her family on what needs to be done. We will post updates about here so you can follow her progress. For now, all her medical expenses are shouldered by her healthcare plan that my Ate got for her but this won't be enough to cover everything that needs to be done.

We are asking for your help to help us fund our Yaya Dinah's medical expenses as we want to give her a fighting chance and do whatever it takes to beat cancer. We are knocking on your hearts to please help us save her. She is our second mom, and she means the world to us.

We will greatly appreciate any amount that you can spare. If you wish to donate directly to us, please leave us a message. Thank you.
