Intro:

Help make my dream come true! My name is Ben Anderson I'm a 24 year old award winning PADI scuba diving staff instructor working on the island Koh Tao, Thailand. From the moment I passed my Open water course I knew I wanted to open my own dive shop. Everything I have done and will continue to do has been in pursuit of that dream.

My current position:

I currently assist in managing a dive shop that opened at the start of the year called Koh Tao Paradise Divers (www.kohtaoparadisedivers.com). We are now the most exclusive dive shop on the island and business is steady.

My role at KTPD before opening was to build the website, something I had never done before but i think it went quite well! After this, it was left to me to make sure everything a dive shop needs to run was there, this doesn't just mean the dive equipment, it was literally everything! From writing the emergency procedures and ordering the emergency oxygen and first aid equipment to writing all the procedures for the daily running of the shop. I now oversee the running of the shop and deal with all the the accounting.

so what is my plan?

I am currently in the process of building an eCommerce specialized in selling scuba diving equipment. The initial idea was to drop ship all products as this would mean I would not have to carry stock, However upon inspecting countless suppliers that offer drop shipping it became apparent that the only products available were cheap Chinese knock-off's of name brand diving equipment.

A scuba divers life depends on the equipment they use, so not only would my market niche not purchase these products nor do I wish to sell my clients anything that may put themselves or others at risk!

The name of my eCommerce will be Dive shack or Ben's dive shack depending on availability. I aim to sell the best of the best equipment and I am already in talks with many suppliers from across the world, including Scubapro, Suunto and Aqualung. I have solicitors waiting for my go to contact notaries and register the company.

With the right marketing strategy the only thing that could hold the online store back is myself and I will never let that happen! I'am a proud man who always gives 100% to everything I set my mind to! Once the business is doing well enough, I wish to open a dive school attached to the eCommerce. Obviously this could be more that a few years down the line so I don't have a set location yet, however the Caribbean has always appealed to me, perhaps Burma if it has the infrastructure to support a dive school then as it does not yet.

What is the campaign for?

As I said before I'm a proud man and had to be convinced by the people closest to me that starting this campaign was right, that it was OK to reach out to people I have never met and ask them to help me with my dream. Your money will go towards a number of things including:

• launching the eCommerce and purchasing the domain name and company logo
• registering the company and opening a company bank account and legal fees
• The initial marketing campaign
