Campaign Story
Bless the Pastors is a ministry with the vision to encourage and bless our beloved pastors; for we know that our pastors are wounded in battle, they need to be inspired and encouraged to go on with the ministry God has given them.
Our Story
It all began in 2012 in Baguio City, located at the northern part of the Philippines. During that time, Ptr. Segundo "Keno" Natividad took a big step of faith and started Bless the Pastors. He didn't have the money or resources to start this ministry, what he had was God's promise that this is His ministry and He will provide for it.
The first Bless the Pastors event happened on July 7, 2012 in Baguio City. It is a whole day event wherein we bless the pastors with Lunch and 2 snacks, clothes (used but still looks and feels brand new), and encouragement from speakers that shared on our theme Blessed to be a Blessing.
By God's grace, we have organized 13 Bless the Pastors Events already:
1st Bless the Pastors - Baguio (July 7, 2012)
2nd Bless the Pastors - Baguio (July 7, 2013)
3rd Bless the Pastors - Baguio (December 14, 2013)
4th Bless the Pastors - Tarlac (July 7, 2014)
5th Bless the Pastors - Laguna (September 6, 2014)
6th Bless the Pastors - Olongapo (December 6, 2014)
7th Bless the Pastors - Baguio (July 9, 2015)
8th Bless the Pastors - Makati (July 8, 2016)
9th Bless the Pastors - Rizal (September 6, 2016)
10th Bless the Pastors - Cavite (December 9, 2016)
11th Bless the Pastors - Bulacan (April 7, 2017)
12th Bless the Pastors - Pampanga (July 7, 2017)
13th Bless the Pastors - Palawan (September 7, 2017)
Provincial Bless the Pastors
Since 2016, Bless the Pastors has gone from one province to another, to bless the pastors in all 81 provinces of the Philippines. We started in the province of Rizal. We gather 300 pastors from each province and bless them. Like what we did on the first Bless the Pastors, we invite speakers to share, encourage them and feed them with lunch and 2 snacks. We've upgraded the clothes from used to brand new. We now give them barong(Philippine National attire) and pants to complete the outfit. We usually hold our events in hotels and other air-conditioned venues because we want to honor them and give them the best we could offer. The event is completely free and is open to pastors and their spouses regardless of denomination or religious affiliation. Through this event, we also wanted to unite the Body of Christ, to break the walls and build bridges. Pastors who are not engaged in any ministry are also encouraged to join us, praying that through this event, the Lord will once again touch their hearts and remind them of their calling. We want our pastors to remember this event, so that when the road gets tough they will be reminded of this day and be strengthened. A renewed pastor will have more impact on the ministry, and the Body of Christ.
14th Bless the Pastors
This time, we are going to hold the event in Tagbilaran City, Bohol on December 7, 2017. It will be our 14th Bless the Pastors event. In addition to the expenses for the venue, food, and clothes, we also need funding for our airfare and accommodation. It is a 1 hour and 30 minutes flight from Metro Manila (Makati City) where we are currently based.
This ministry have no funds, no people with big names either; only people with big hearts. It is only by God's grace that we are able to reach this far and we are grateful to Him for all our friends and co-laborers in His vineyard that supported us in the past 13 Bless the Pastors. In this regard, we would like to appeal to your generous heart to support us in this endeavor in blessing the pastors for God's glory.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and may the Lord bless you more.
Any excess for the target funding will be utilized for the upcoming events on 2018:
April 5 Negros Oriental & Negros Occidental (600 pastors)
July 5 Samar(Western Samar), Northern Samar, and Eastern Samar (900 pastors)
September 6 Bukidnon (300 pastors)
December 7 Batangas (300 pastors)
