Volunteering in Malaysia

We are a group of 4 people who want to travel to Malaysia to help with the beach and turtle conservation of the Perhentian islands. We would help collect data and track turtles so they can be protected from the tourism of the island. The goal of the project is to create a sea turtle management plan for the islands, and to conserve the beaches so that further generations can enjoy them. We will dive to track and take pictures of the turtles, help with egg hatching, teach the local community about turtle and beach conservation, help with beach cleaning...

We are English, Dutch, Swedish and French that live in Gothenburg, Sweden and study in an international school. We want to go to Malaysia to be able to conserve the beautiful Perhentian islands of Malaysia.

I'm Sara, I'm 16 years old, I'm from Lyon and have lived in Sweden for 4 years. As I want to work with environmental sciences, this project would be an amazing opportunity to do what I'm passionate about! I cannot wait to discover new animals and see how we can help them, as well as spent time with them. I have never been to Malaysia and it would be amazing to see new landscapes and meet new people

I'm Alexandra and I'm 17 years old, I'm from Nottingham, England and I have lived in Sweden for 6 years now. I would love to work with animals, and as this project also involves teaching the local community about the turtle and beach conservation, it would be a good opportunity to meet new people and discover a new culture. I'm interested in child psychology and would love to bond with children during this project.

I'm Lukas and I'm 16 years old, I'm from Sweden, but I have lived in China and Singapore for most of my life. I came back to Sweden a couple years ago. I love animals and traveling and as this would combine both, this trip would be great! Volunteering in Malaysia seems amazing and I can't wait!

I'm Peter and i'm 16 years old, i'm from the Netherlands and I have lived in Sweden for 2 years now. I've had multiple experiences with working with animals that I enjoyed a lot, and I would really enjoy going to Malaysia and have more of these amazing experiences!

Nous sommes un groupe de 4 lycéens qui avons le projet de partir en Malaisie pendant 2 semaines cet été pour contribuer à un projet de conservation de plage et de tortues sur les îles Perhentian. Le but de projet est de créer un plan de protection des tortues et de nettoyer les plages de l'île. Nous récolterons des données, prendrons des photos des tortues, aiderons à nettoyer les plages, donnerons des présentations dans les écoles pour enseigner la communié locale...

Nous sommes anglais, hollandais, suédois et français, nous vivons à Göteborg en Suède et étudions dans une école internationale.

Je suis Sara, j'ai 16 ans, je viens de Lyon et habite en Suède depuis 4 ans. Comme je voudrais travailler dans les sciences de l'environment, ce projet serait une superbe opportunité de faire ce qui me passionne! J'ai hâte de découvrir de nouveaux animaux, d'apprendre comment les protéger et passer du temps avec eux. Je ne suis jamais allée en Malaisie et ce sera super de découvrir de nouveaux paysages et de rencontrer des nouvelles personnes.
