(UPDATED - 18 JUNE 2020)

My wife, Lydia, is suffering from Fibromyalgia. Her condition started in May 2016, quickly deteriorated and since November 2016 she basically became functionally impaired and bound to a wheelchair or the bed, most of the time.

No one knows how Fibromyalgia develops, but many researchers believe it involves an interaction between the nervous system, body chemistry, and muscles that results in an intensification of pain signals. My wife is in extreme pain, almost 24/7.

As she needs to be taken care of, it impacted negatively on our business and finances - to such a point where we lost the business almost everything else. As we cannot afford a medical plan, we have to rely on the state hospital, where the service is really bad in South Africa. A claim against a disability policy also failed.

I started a new small business from home, but due to the Covid-19 lockdown, we hardly received any income during the past 3 months. To make things even worse, some noisy troublemakers moved into the other part of the place where we rent and the landlord does not attend to our complaints. This is not good for my wife's condition and we need to move but have no funds for a deposit, for the move, or for our first month's rental.

Any support to pick up the pieces again would be greatly appreciated. I pray and humbly ask for assistance. Lydia is an amazing person but being clustered to a bed most of the time, with constant pain, sadly has a huge impact on her life.

Lydia has a brand new cyst and it is massive. It covers the area of the upper buttocks, the tale bone and up her lower spine. Again, this could have been treated properly if our state hospital have given her proper antibiotics. We had no other option than to visit

Lydia's mother came visiting a little while ago. It was the first opportunity in nearly 5 years. Although Lydia was hampered by the wheelchair and constant pain and could not go onto the beaches close to where we live, we thank God and her mom, for the chances she had,

Lydia has now been put onto 1000 mg antibiotics as a huge 6 cm abscess made its appearance right above the tailbone. The state hospital gave her 250 mg antibiotics the previous week but it had no effect. We want to thank Carroll Sullivan who made a donation on 1
