Our good buddy Christopher Van Ooyen (CVO) is struggling at this time with some serious medical issues. He has been diagnosed with Amyloidosis, we have placed a link below if you would like to learn more:

CVO is at UNMC in Omaha and his Dr.'s are working to figure out which type of Amyloidosis he has (there are many). At the moment he is working through kidney dialysis as those organs are not functioning along with his spleen and liver (potentially others still unknown). UNMC has rated his liver on the accepted scale of 6-40, 40 meaning it's necessary now; his rating is at a 33.
While there is a lot we don't know yet, we do know he could use any assistance you can spare to afford/assist with his medical bills. We are also planning some fundraising events to support our good friend CVO.
We have created this fundraising page for everyone to follow his progress and leave positive thoughts and prayers. We will also use this site to place any updates on fundraising events/efforts. Any prayers you can send or support you can throw in the pot would be mighty gracious! Please follow CVO's updates on this page and watch for upcoming events...

Update posted by Daniel Van Ooyen at 01:13 amThey have moved CVO to Progressive care which is one step down from ICU. He still has low blood pressure & they put CVO on a feeding tube. Chemotherapy is still every Thursday, dialysis three times a week. We are waiting for the test results from the chemo to find

Update posted by Daniel Van Ooyen at 02:01 pmHe went back into ICU at 2:00am because of low blood pressure. They gave him a albumin, fluid and IV medicine to increase his BP. CVO has dialysis this morning.

Update posted by Daniel Van Ooyen at 02:22 amCVO got out of ICU today 9-21-17 moved into a huge room with a quality hotel bathroom and a mini fridge. He is going to start on some type of chemotherapy. No he does not have cancer this is just some kind of treatment for the Amyloidosis. We still do
