No more donations are being accepted at this time. Please contact the campaign owner if you would like to discuss further funding opportunities
In light of the escalation of Rohingya refugee crisis, almost 700,000 refugees in south-eastern of Bangladesh are struggling to have shelter, food or clean water. These numbers are likely to increase in the hundreds of thousands over the next few weeks.
With winter coming soon, the situation will worsen with each progressing day and more refugees are expected to reach the border of Bangladesh - making it a prime target for overcrowding and epidemic outbreaks due to poor hygiene.
Migrant88 is aiming to raise USD 50,000 (equivalent of MYR 200,000) to send over humanitarian aid and provide long-term solutions to the problems in these refugee camps.
With the amount that we plan on raising, we aim to purchase/build:
# 2,000 winter clothes and blankets
# 50 latrines - that can be used for 2 years in the camps
# 10 000 meters of plastic tent
# 30 deep tube well # 500 cooking pots
# 1000 pack of medecine to local doctors of the camps
# Food supplies and sanitary pads for women
We will be sending our volunteers for a week to Bangladesh to distribute the aid as well as to help build the latrines at the camps.
No single act of donation is too small when done collectively. Or those who have more and are keen to partake in this donation, please don't hesitate to help those who are in need. Rest assured, all proceeds will be used to directly fund this mission & its goals.
