Help Our Family While Helping Others

Let me introduce myself. My name is Elaine and I am lucky enough to be the mother of four amazing children; two of which still live at home with me. I am a single mother who is now, as of last year, also without parents, as I lost them both a year ago on the same exact day. The truth is, my father died of an ongoing illness and my mother passed 18 hours later of a "broken heart." They unfortuantely struggeld badly in their later lives and had nothing in the way of assets when they passed. However, they were happy and were deeply in love.

For several years, I have lived in China. While it is wonderful, it is not where my children and I belong. I work hard but there is not enough for me to help my kids and others. I am working to give my children a legacy. Therefore, I am working to build a guesthouse which I can then leave to my children. I am looking to move to Cambodia or Thailand where I could do what I dream of which is helping us and at the same time helping others.

The Guesthouse is a two-fold project. First, I am looking to create something that can help sustain us, financially, and afford us the ability to give profits back to those in need, specifically orphanages, victims of sex and human trafficking, and the animal community.

The second piece to this puzzle is to help save the earth. Our Guesthouse will be completely sustainable. Our guestrooms would use products that are recycled and environmentally friendly. Our food will be farm to table. And of course, we will work to get our electricity off the grid.

In all, our guesthouse will be a go-to desitnation, allowing guests to have a wonderful holiday while giving back to the community and helping the environment.

The most important piece to all of this is that I am working to help my family have a better, more productive and meaningful life. This, I cannot do alone. However, it is the best gift I can give my family and the less fortunate.
