Campaign Story
UPDATE 09/04
Nothing hurts more than seeing your child suffer in a different way.
Last week, Georgia was allowed to go home by her doctors, although they have every medical reason to keep her there. She went home with and LDh level of 800+, where normal levels should not exceed 600s. This means she still has an enlarged heart due to myocarditis. The doctor wanted a different approach, letting her heal where she is most comfortable with: her home.
Almost a week later, Georgia was re-tested and our fears came true: she didn't heal, worse, her enzyme levels increased.
While at home, Georgia is being a very good girl, listening to her mom every time she reminds her to lie down or sit (which, honestly, is impossible for a toddler at 4). She took all her meds without complain and reminds her daddy for all of us to pray together.
My daughter did what she can to let herself heal. She tells us daily that she misses her classmates. She looks out the window and silently follows a girl running freely. I know she wants to do the same, because she dreams of being a runner. She loves to laugh, but we keep on telling her not so much.
How can you explain to a little girl that laughing is bad for her?
And now, she is to do even less of all those.
She is unfortunately showing more signs of her sickness, which is irritability. Why wont she be? She has a very sore, inflammed muscle that she cant make the pain go away. And then her parents who lets her do her hearts wishes before, now polices her every move.
Her prolonged home confinement means more trips to the doctors, specialists and lab tests. Her healthcard is already maxed out, so her check ups are paid out of pocket.
Our first wave of campaign helped greatly easing at least our financial worries. With your help, we can be sure to be able to provide her the best care possible.
UPDATE 08/28
Georgia was given another dose of Dopamine to lower her blood enzyme levels. Her IV tubes was reattached to accommodate the drug. Fortunately her blood tests this morning shown a decrease but still not enough to be considered safe to be out of the hospital.
With prayers and love, we hope to have her home soon.
Your continued support is greatly appreciated in this time of need. We cannot thank enough all of those who are providing help and sending their best wishes.
UPDATE 08/26
Georgia was supposed to go home today. Her doctors were positive that her enzymes will drop to normal levels.
That is not the case, unfortunately.
Although the lpH levels dropped, it was not enough for her cardiologist since it still poses a threat on her heart.
She was given until Monday to have her blood checked and only then the cardio will decide.
Active and energetic Georgia is now ordered to have total bed rest. She was also not allowed to have anymore visitors to avoid contamination and stress.
This will also poses a huge dent on our financials where we are barely getting by.
However, the donations and kind words help alleviate some of the hardship and we continue to everyone and wish for your continued support.
UPDATE 08/24
Georgia was scheduled to go home today, but after today's lab results, she was not allowed to do so. Her heart enzyme level is still double from what is supposed to be normal. She is given until Saturday to rest to bring the enzyme levels

This campaign I created is for my daughter Georgia. She was diagnosed with Dengue and had contracted myocarditis as a conplication.
Our experience started morning of Sunday, August 13. Georgia fell into a seizure suddenly and we had to rush her to the hospital. She had 3 more attacks since then.
After a few days, she was diagnosed with dengue and myocarditis, a condition in which her heart enlargens.
Her EEG and CT Scan did not state why she had the attacks, but the doctors wanted us to concentrate on the dengue and her heart conditon.
Fortunately, she is recovering now from the dengue but still is under observation for her heart.
Currently, our hospital bill has reached the maximum limit of our healthcare plan, which is P110,000. This is still not including the professional fees and other procedures. As an employee barely able to make ends meet, we are very much dependent on the healthcard for our needs. Financially, we are scrambling to get all help that we can so we can settle her possible bills.
Any amount that will be in excess will exclusively be used for her medicine and subsequent checkups.
Your donation will mean the world to a family who is just scraping by. We thank you for the kindness in your heart and hopefully we can pay your donations forward.
