Help Anna Esguerra get her Kidney Transplant Surgery:

Hi, thank you for checking out my funding here at GoGetFunding.

My name is Anna Esguerra and I use to be an active online person. I would be spending hours being online, almost as if my life depended on it. I use to be a very active blogger at www.so-stellar.com since 2005, being a concert photographer, and my chosen career to focus on is webdesign at www.annaesguerra.com. I thought I can be both at the same time, but then this happened. I had big plans to spend my time in designing websites and making a living out of this career but that did not happen.

I have been diagnosed with chronic Kidney failure when I was 3 yrs old and I have been living my life taking medicines to prevent this from becoming real worse. Ever since then - beginning from being diagnosed with chronic Kidney failure at a young age, and giving myself years to 'live my life' normally (finishing my studies form pre-school to college), living the next 4 years after college as someone going month after month to shows and y'know just "living life normally", up until finally having to give up on the normalcy of living that life and do the Dialysis treatments is when things got "worse" for me.

I never smoke, drank, did drugs if you are curious in any way that I came in this state sooner than I have expected. I thought living throughout this illness would be the same like nothing has changed, only to slowly realize that as long as I am in this status of living, things will get worse. It is called a chronic disease after all.

At the moment, I am undergoing Dialysis three times a week. This costs a lot every treatment and it is slowly taking what is left of our finance. Other than my Kidney illness, I have seizure tendencies too from a part of my skull being taken out, too. See "craniotomy" for this.

We have went to a public government office for medical needs for a refund of our hospital stays that costs a lot only to receive around 10% of what we have paid for. That funding we have received for going in queues from morning til afternoon. That fund is slowly used for payments in the Dialysis center and home billings.

My dad is also in a similar health condition but he cannot get that chance to get the same transplant because he is in his senior years. (UPDATE: In December 2017, he passed away from this illness along with his other illness like Diabetes and Heart problems.)

Any amount within the minimum needed is welcome and I will be grateful for your help. Plus this financial help will go a loooong way. :)

Your donation will be able to help someone extend her life through this surgery. A Kidney transplant is one of the most expensive surgeries out there (not only here in the Philippines but in other countries), so this means a lot.

3. Along with my need for Kidney surgery, I had seizure problems that led to my tongue bitten and had to be stitched too (too painful!), this happened twice

5. What led to my seizure problems was that I had my head opened up from a blood clot near my brain,

I believe these things happened once I had started my Dialysis and when my Kidney got worse.

Before doing this transplant, we still need to find a suitable Kidney donor. My blood type is Type O (positive) - if you are also willing to donate yours, let me know by emailing me (I know this is a LOT to ask but I just had to type it out there).

If the amount for the surgery is completed, it will be kept in savings until we have found a donor to complete the surgery, or to reserve a slot for the queue in NKTI HOPE for donors who have passed away. Also, for pre surgery requirements (tissue typing, blood tests, etc for both me and the donor).
