My step-dad Chris Fogleman (whom I call Dad) who has helped to raise me since I was 13, has been battling a rare blood disorder ITP ( http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/idio... ). Before he met my mom he had a splenectomy to try to help with this disorder. He was admitted to the hospital back in 2011 when his platelets dropped down to 5,000 (They are supposed to be 150,000). The way the doctor explained it was that if he would have had an open wound or would have gotten into a car accident on the way to the hospital he would have died before any help could get to him because they were so low. Last week he was taken out of work for the whole week because they dropped down to 7,000 and he had to be admitted into the hospital for a few days. He was given steroid shots to try to bring them up and that worked temporarily. Dad was able to go back to as long as his platelets stayed about 20,000 because it then would not be considered critical. He went back to work this week and yesterday 05/17/2017 they checked his platelets again to make sure they were still up and they have dropped. My mom is out of work and tries to help contribute by bringing in extra income with babysitting. My family could really use all the prayers and if possible donations so they can make ends meet with daily expenses and doctor bills while dad is recovering from his relapse with ITP.

This man is the definition of what a Father should be! He is the most godly caring person I think I have ever met and would give anyone the shirt off his back!

I have provided a link with a description to what ITP is for those that do not know and I will provide more links below.
