Campaign Story
Jamook Daeng (red nose) is a street dog that lives on our street here in Bangkok. We've been told that he and his little friend Khaaw (White) used to live with a monk, but when the monk died they were put out onto the streets. In the 18 months that we have lived here we've seen Jamook Daeng going through some scrapes and hobbles. It's not easy living the life of a street dog. However, Jamook Daeng is a survivor and as part of the community, he and Khaaw are looked after by the locals. The locals feed and care for them as best they can and we try our best to keep them healthy with food, flea, tick, and worm treatments.
Jamook Daeng has developed a large tumour on his back, it's grown to the size of a tennis ball. We arranged for our vet to look at the tumour yesterday (April 3rd) and Jamook Daeng will need surgery right away to have it removed.
As this is urgent, I arranged for Jamook Daeng to be taken with our vet yesterday. Jamook Daeng will also be given anti-biotics for a blood infection that was discovered during blood tests and he will also be neutered whilst he is there (this helps minimise the street dog population and stops Jamook Daeng getting into scrapes with other street dogs.)
The vet bills are 13000 thai baht which is around £300. Can you help us cover the costs of Jamook Daeng's surgery?
No amount is too small. Thank you.
We will keep you updated with his progress and will upload all Vet receipts for his treatment.

Recovering very well
Update posted by Machar Smith at 04:20 amSo, it's been 2 weeks since Jamook Daeng came back from having surgery and he is a bouncing happy little puppy dog! Seeing his happy little face and all the energy he now has confirms that the right decision was made to go ahead with surgery to remove the lump.
