My Papa Marcos put on a good fight and I truly appreciate all your help all throughout this journey. He passed away at 10AM on April 17 and I am deeply saddened by his demise. Once again, thank you for the love and support. God bless us all.
My uncle had been transferred to a private room after being weaned from the mechanical ventilator. But just yesterday, he was back to the ICU for having high fever and hypotension which could be an indication of septic shock. Please continue to pray for him and the family. Thank you so much.
Day 28: I received a positive update from my cousin
Michelle, daughter of Papa Marcos, that he has just been weaned from the
mechanical ventilator and is planned to be transferred to a private room. The
family still struggles finding for resources buying all the daily prescribed
medicines and supplies. But with your continued support, you have at least
alleviated the financial burden we face. I have already sent a big portion of
your donation to my cousin to help pay the expenses. I thank my Aunt Charina for her kindness and
generosity. I also thank all those who helped spread this fundraising campaign.
God bless you all.
Day 19: It's been 19 days since Craniectomy and 6 days post-Tracheostomy. Dr. Co, Papa Marcos' neurosurgeon is waiting for the family's decision for him to be co-managed by another doctor who is a pulmonologist. My cousin, Ate Michelle still has to decide and weigh options considering the financial difficulties we face.
And it's been 3 days now since I started this fundraising and I am so deeply touched by the love and care my good friends showed. My sincerest gratitude to Charlotte Kelly and Kuya Steven Lin who are one of the kindest souls on earth. Your help is greatly appreciated. I am teary-eyed knowing that you're by my side in the midst of adversities. God bless you and your family.
Day 17: It's day 17 post-Craniectomy and my cousin is so surprised to find out that Papa Marcos is now able to open his eyes for the first time after the surgery. He is now more combative every time the nurses suction secretions. A CT-scan of the brain was also done earlier today.
I have already received donations from my first two donors. My heartfelt thanks to my kind hearted friends Espen Olsen and Robert Kelly for showing love and care. God bless!
