What is the Spring Youth Camp

The “Iglesia bautista Jerusalen" (Jerusalem Baptist Church) camp for young people has been a very useful tool, with which a lot of teenagers had approached to God. Year after year we have the opportunity to include all of those who have trouble bonding and creating relationships, and this is a bridge for them to create meaningful and long-lasting relationships, as well as accepting Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

This is a week full of games, group work competitions, spending meaningful time together but also a lot of Bible studies, meditations, and communion with God.

Being apart from society, technology, and our natural environment is the key to help us to accomplish all this activities.

It is important to mention that we carry out a follow up through out a year with the youth who made a decision during the summer camp. This youth have proven to be the more active and participative in many different ministries.

Why do we need the money?

Until three years ago all of our camps had been in Cieneguita (Chihuahua, Mex.), a camp site owned by our church, unfortunately the insecurity and drug cartels had affected this place. Due to this events we recognize that it would be very unsafe and impossible to take a group of youths to this place, sadly this has created a negative impact on our youths’ group, the ones that usually help the most at church.

This year we will carry it out at Huapoca (Chihuahua, Mex.), a very safe and nature surrounded camp site. The huge difference is that we have to pay a remarkable amount of money for the lodging and food. We are praying, because we don’t want this to be an impediment for the youths to enjoy and learn about the Gospel.

Our goal

Our common goal is to give our friends and guests (whom don’t know about our Lord) the opportunity to attend without paying a cent, and with this being able to support families with less possibilities who may want to be part of this amazing experience.

We’ll be extremely grateful if you can help us to accomplish this goal of having a big group on this life changing camp; money not being the impediment for this special person to attend, where surely God will touch their hearts and change lives.
