Melba’s Fundraising Campaign – Please help!

PLEASE HELP US RAISE THE FUNDS TOWARDS MEDICAL BILLS TO SAVE OUR MOTHER’S LIFE…

Melba lives in Venezuela, a country thorn apart by the current political and economical crisis. As a consequence of this situation the population is suffering from shortages of medical supplies and even basic staple foods.

Unfortunately she was hospitalised with an acute abdominal pain, but due to the poor conditions and lack of hygiene, the doctor suggested she was taken home to continue treatment and recovery. She has been on a strict liquid diet since then, and has had a series of tests and scans.

Her medical practitioner wanted her to have a colonoscopy and that day we as a family received the devastating news; they found a Tumour. Doctors also found she has diverticulosis a condition that develops pouches in the inner wall of the large intestine; in addition she was diagnosed with Cholelithiasis, an inflammation of the Gallbladder that also requires surgery.

Our mother is an amazing human being, generous, kind and always helping others. She is a strong woman, but sadly will be facing several weeks of various treatments and invasive procedures followed by surgery and recovery. Some of her prescription medicines and food supplements are almost impossible to find unless they are specifically ordered abroad, which adds international delivery costs. Members our family have also travelled to Colombia, to find medical supplies that were urgently needed for some of her initial treatments.

Time is of the essence and she needs surgical intervention as soon as possible. Most private hospitals will only give an estimate for the costs, due to the high inflation in the country; prices rise from one day to the other. Please keep her in your prayers and help us reach our target, which will hopefully help towards covering medical costs.
