Boxing to Beat Domestic Violence

Hello everyone,

On Saturday 8th April I will be stepping into the boxing ring for the 1st time to raise money for Colchester and Tendring Women's Refuge and fight against domestic violence, literally. If you would like to come for a night out in Essex and watch me in action, the event will take place at the Colchester institute’s Swinburne Hall. I have plenty of tickets available, please let me know if you wish to purchase one.

Alternatively, please feel free to donate a small amount on this page. Every pound raised will be going to the refuge , which was set up in response to a desperate need in the locality for a place to which abused women, with their children, could escape from their violent partners.

Leading to the main event, the 8 weeks long intensive training is organized by the Essex Pink Gloves Boxing and we are trained by a professional boxer. We are a group of around 20 ladies, all with none or very limited boxing experience. On the night of the event, we will fight three rounds at two minutes each, so the pressure is on!
