Have you ever been offered the opportunity of a lifetime and said to yourself, “How can I do this?”
Hi, if you don’t already know me, I am McKenzie Tyshi Wessell-Woodcock, a junior at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point, majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in Management and Marketing. I have been offered the opportunity to travel overseas to China for a business internship this summer and I am hoping you can help me accomplish this.
At a young age my parents shared with me their efforts and the years of savings it took before they could travel to China and start our family. I understood these expenses would play a part in their ability to pay for my college education and it is because of their honesty I was prepared to save, borrow, and work hard to achieve this. I was taught the value, reward, and cost of a good education.
Currently, in addition to one financial grant and multiple school loans, I finance my education by working two jobs. I am employed part time as a student manager for Dining and Summer Conferences, on campus during the school year, and full time as a shift manager at Qdoba Mexican Eats, over the summer and semester breaks.
This internship is not only an educational opportunity to enhance my business knowledge and skills; it will allow me to immerse myself in the culture to which I was born Yan XiFeng.
I am reaching out to family and friends in the hope you will consider contributing to the several thousand dollars I have already saved. I am a hard working, dedicated student. I pray with me working overtime, my fingers crossed and your help I will be able to complete the internship and extend my trip several days in order to visit my birth home, Nanping China and work in the orphanage where I spent the first ten months of my life.
Please know I am appreciative of the time you spent to read this and your consideration to donate.
Thank you,
McKenzie

There are 60 days remaining before I leave and I am hoping to raise more. I am excited to visit my birth site and the orphanage that cared for me. A representative of

Best wishes, McKenzie! My great nephew was also adopted from China, and I pray he will be blessed with the same opportunity to return to his birthplace one day.
