Campaign Story
Hi all,
I was diagnosed with a severe form of gastritis 3 months ago and have been battling it ever since. It has been tough also because there is very little understanding among people about how debilitating it could be. My symptoms are pain, cramping, dehydration, nausea, vomiting (blood), dizziness, excess indigestion, faintness and more. I have been trying different conventional and herbal medications but with very little success.
It all started with a bout of stomach flu which ended up in me not being able to digest food which developed into heart palpitations, months of diarrhea, and would nearly pass out, especially in the middle of the night. I also could not lie down for hours after each episode. Yes, I would leap up from sleep in the middle of the night to crawl around, trying not to faint, and then have many nasty visits to the toilet. Follow that with the topper of being utterly spent and not being able to lie down due to weird chest/stomach pressure, and you’ve got a nice recipe for exhaustion, missed work, and a social life put on major hold.
Next, I moved on to leaping up from sleep to pace for hours while my heart raced and I shook. A few times, my heart raced to the point I thought I was having a heart attack (I once wished I could just go unconscious to avoid the experience, which was painful and frightening), and then I would projectile vomit. I ended up in many ERs, to no avail.
Day and night symptoms include: weight loss, shaking, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea alternating with constipation, loss of appetite, racing heart, syncope, shortness of breath, palpitations, weakness/fatigue, night sweats/hot flashes, and anxiety.
I have been to various doctors both in Germany and in Bulgaria, had 3 visits to the ER and done countless tests for different bacteria, which all came out negative (h pylori, salmonella, E coli). I have been prescribed a round of PPIs which I have been taking for 2 months now, and which caused extreme fatigue, loss of appetite and constant fainting, not to mention nutrient malabsorption as well a further worsening of my gastritis.
Since I am not able to work at the moment, I would like to ask you for some help in getting by so that I am not a burden for my parents and for my sister who being Bulgarian have very limited resources.
I do realize that the mentality of taking it one day at a time is all about. If you try to look at it in any larger scale, it becomes overwhelming. Until things get better, just take it as in stride as you can. Remember you are never alone. You will have low and high points and it is perfectly normal. It can be a wild ride, but you will find through the journey you are about the learn more about yourself and your inner strength than you ever thought possible. And that is something of real value.
Thank you for your help and compassion!

Many tests back normal, but still suffering...
Update posted by Gergana Yotova at 04:26 pmI had my blood test back - no bacteria is responsible for my condition. I am trying to find a doctor who could test me for possible food allergies, candida and SIBO which could be responsible for my condition but it is very difficult to find gastroenterologists who are willing
