A doggy best friend for little Arthur B.

Hi. We are Mark & Clare ...Little Arthur B's mummy and daddy. We both work.....hard, an account manager and a nhs nurse. We have 6 boys.

Arthur is a lovely handsome 3 year old little boy ... with additional needs, he has complex communication needs and terrible anxiety problems.

He has huge sensory processing issues. Has problems with communication, understanding, emotions and is super literal, rigid and obsessive. He has no sense of danger and doesn't feel pain. He has big sleep problems and is currently on a medication trial to help him (and us).

He wears ear defenders, likes yellow and green. Horses and dogs. Paw patrol is his favourite. He loves rules and routine and has a fabulous memory.

He is quirky and loves his 5 brothers and grandparents but shows it in ways that can be 'different'.

Arthur would benefit hugely from a best friend. He needs reassurance and a calming influence. A special K9 friend was suggested and after researching this it became apparent that Arthur could be helped by a loving trained dog.

We have 2 small dogs that he loves but they are small and older and Arthur can be a bit heavy handed. He needs a big dog trained to help ease his anxiety.

We have found a company based in Staffordshire that find a perfect match and train the dog according to needs. These are not service dogs but are highly trained.

The process is expensive £5495.00 for just the dog.

We hope to fundraise £6000 to purchase the right dog for Arthur, insurance, dog essentials such as bedding, safety harness, crate etc.

We are a busy hard working family who are reaching out for help. We do not usually ask for help but Arthur needs a chance to thrive and grow and we will do whatever is necessary to help him.
