Campaign Story
So I took in little Gidget, born missing part of her right hind leg, hoping to get her a prosthetic when she's older. Because vet student's like me only ever own the crazy pets! However at her spay we took some radiographs and found that she has a malformed pelvis, so her hip joint is non-existent. Since a prosthetic limb is now out of the question because the rest of the leg is deformed I am opting to remove the whole leg to prevent future damage. Another fun fact is that since it's a "pre-existing condition" the insurance company won't cover it. And instead of having a few years to save up for a prosthetic, I'm hopping on the crowd-funding bus and asking for donations!
Surgery is scheduled for April 19th!

50% and 100 shares!
Update posted by Laurel Brenton at 06:03 pmWell everyone obviously cares for all this cuteness! Because even with my other cat's emergency surgery I've still got shares and donations going. Clarice is doing well (after her foreign body removal), and thankfully she's insured! Confirmed (again) with the insurance however that Gidget's surgery will not be covered. So
