Campaign Story
Our little sister, Shana Carnes, passed away on March 20, 2016 after a 2 year battle with breast cancer. Just 6 months shy of her 40th birthday. She left behind 3 beautiful little girls; Ambrea 10, Zayla 9 and Nyana 8. Shana was a graduate of GSU with a BSN in nursing and the main bread winner of her family. She was also an 8 year veteran of the US Army Reserves. She dedicated her life to taking care of others through her nursing and her church. Our hope is that others will pay it forward and help take care of her children. Our family needs your help financially to ensure they are taken care of in the way they deserve. We are hopeful our efforts will reach around the world and bless the girls in ways Shana would be proud of if she were still here with us. All proceeds will go directly to the day to day costs of raising them as well as future education. We prayerfully ask for your help and no donation is too small. God Bless

Shana was my instructor at OTC a few years ago and she was amazing. My prayers are with her beautiful daughters and family.

Update posted by Tara Curry at 08:25 pmOn September 30, 1976 the world was blessed with the birth of our baby sister, Shana Rene'. She spent her life helping people through her nursing. In 2014 she found herself on the other side of the bed in the hospital she worked for, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. . . . .
