Campaign Story
Hi … my name is Fred Taft. For the past two years, my wife Dianne and I have traveled to Brașov, Romania, as part of a small team of volunteers. We will be returning again this year, and will be joined by our good friend Ronda Whaley. The focus of the trip is developing relationships with and delivering supplies to the orphans and at-risk children. It is a totally exhausting trip, but one which has also been incredibly exciting, humbling and fulfilling.
Please take a moment to look at the video we’ve put together. Hopefully it will help you to understand why volunteering in Romania has become our passion!
It is our goal to return to Romania every year. We’ve learned that consistent contact can make a big difference in the lives of the orphans … we want the children to know that someone cares enough about them to come back to visit them, love them and encourage them!
We are looking to raise $7,000 to cover the cost for the three of us to fly to Romania and to live there for two weeks. I am hoping that you will consider supporting this effort, and will view your financial support as an investment in the lives of the children; it will pay huge dividends … not in the form of a cash dividend, but in the form of changed lives!

Piano fundraiser results
Update posted by Fred Taft at 03:52 pmWe had a hugely successful fundraiser concert last night! Lisa Boylan gave a performance on the piano. We had 46 people attend the event and another 12 volunteers helped out. All told, we raised another $1590, which means that we've raised almost 50% of our goal of $7000! Thank you

We have just over a month left, and through the generous support of our friends, we have raised almost 25% of our goal! A lot of the donations have come in directly to us, and not through this fundraising site. We will also. . . . .
