Campaign Story
We needs funds for our mom's leukemia treatment. This is going to be a long treatment as she will not get cured unless she has a successful bone marrow transplant. Before that happens, she will need to be on continuous chemo-therapy to control the cancer cells and maintain bodily function.
Costs at a glance:
Chemo injections: $5000 monthly
Hospital Stays : Variable cost
Other specialized scans and test: Up to $10,000 monthly (variable costs)
Possible Transplant fees (Variable depending on country of donor) : any where between $50,000 - $100,000
Live in domestic helper : $1000 monthly (She does not quality for levy subsidy as she is not old enough - below 65yo)
*Go Get Funding charges up to 10% payment admin fees for donations received via credit card + paypal + site admin fees. So for every dollor you donate, 90% will go to my mom.
Funding:
Medisave - or what is left of it
She does not have other private insurance coverage, except 1 NTUC medishield plan.
Children's salary - 2 working children who are also supporting their own young infant/children and families. 1 non-working child who is still studying.
Your help
*We are trying to apply for additional help like Medifunds and other Financial Assistance available, and are engaging the medical social worker to help us in this area. Be rest assured the funds are used for my mom's treatment and post-treatment care - eg: long term immunosuppressant, blood tests, transfusions, etc.
While we are trying our level best to fund her medical bills, it is getting increasingly challenging with our savings running low and still needing to provide for our separate families. Any bit of help we get will go a long way for her treatment and our survival.
