Helping Homeless and Veterans

Homelessness is a very serious issue in this country. Not only men, women and children, but Veterans too. Veterans who have served our country, living in squalid conditions under bridges and in alley ways. All of these human beings living on the streets because they have no place to go. This is not acceptable to me, and hopefully, it's not acceptable to you either.

I have a calling to help people, especially Veterans. Saying "Thank you" is not enough for the people who have fought for this country and put their life on the line for our freedoms. I want to do anything I can for them. There have been many soldiers in my family, as well as friends, and this cause is very near and dear to my heart. I have just become a legal 501c3 non-profit (not yet tax deductible) called Saved by Grace Ministries, Missions, and Outreach, and my goal is to apply for grants, hold fundraising events, and collect donations to buy tents, ready to eat foods, bottled water, sleeping pads, socks, shoes, coats, toiletries, dog food (for the companions of the homeless) and things needed by our wounded, disabled and/or homeless veterans (like wheelchairs, prosthetics, ramps etc) on a regular basis.
