Billy’s Birthday Fund

It's my 41st birthday on 24th December.

I have almost everything I could want right now so I decided I'd like to use my birthday as a chance to raise funds for three charitable organisations which are close to my heart.

It really would bring me much joy to be able to support these groups with the amazing work that they do.

Out and Proud Diamond Group are LGBT refugees and asylum seekers supporting each other whilst simultaneously campaigning to change things for LGBT people in their countries of origin. I have met some of the members of this group, they are fabulous. They inspired me to do this in the first place. Their website is terrible though! http://opdg.org/

The White Helmets Syria are a civilian, volunteer-led, ambulance service who try to rescue anyone in need, in the most dangerous situations imaginable. They risk their own lives everyday to help other people. I am in awe of them. https://www.whitehelmets.org/

The Ambelosi Trust For Elephants is a brilliant research and conservation project in Kenya. They work alongside local people in ways that support both elephants and humans so that both can prosper. Their research on wild elephant behaviour is used by scientists all over the world for the benefit of this great species. https://www.elephanttrust.org/

If you do make a donation here , the money will first come to my account and then I will split it equally between these three groups. I plan to make the transfers over to them on the first banking day of the new year. I can't wait!
