Major Dental for Rufus the Cat

Our sweet Rufus the Cat is in desperate need of dental care, major dental. He has gum disease, which has resulted in an infection, at this time we've managed to get the infection under control, however unless he has the teeth he has left surgically removed he is likely to get another infection which is very painful and he can't eat with an infection, which would result in certain death. You might be wondering how dental surgery can be so expensive, the surgery involves gum flaps and stitches, and longer period of time under. He's eight years old, he has owned us since he was a tiny 8 week old kitten. Rufus is a member of our family who we love. My husband and I are senior citizens and barley make ends meet, and simply can not come up with the $1500.00 for this oral surgery, the last vet bill for the injection for his infection was $233.00, that includes the pain meds they sent him home with We are asking for help, any amount will help.
