I, Von Jerome M. Robiso, an employee of a private company here in the Philippines, knocking on your kind heart to help us.

Before he was born, we are very excited and happy to see him. We take care of him so much, we go to OB-Gyne monthly soemtimes weekly to make sure that he is safe and healthy. After 9 months of sacrifices, our most awaited and happiest moment came. But unfortunately, those moments that should be the happiest became the saddest part of our life due to malpractice and unpreparedness of the doctors and nurses. My son came out not crying and not breathing because of long labor. Instead of CS, he was delivered normal. It is our first time and our first baby so we dont know what to do. When we talked to some parents and doctors, the doctor should be the one to know or tell the parents if it will be CS or Normal delivery. The worst case scenario is when my son is not breathing, they go back and forth to get and prepare the Oxygen and its accessories and it took them more than 8 minutes before they gave them to our son. When we talked to other doctors, the Oxygen should be given maximum of 5 minutes to the patient otherwise the brain tissue will be damaged.

2 hours after he was born, we transfer him to other hospitals with the oxygen. When we arrived, he is not breathing on his own that is why I pump the oxygen manually. The doctors and nurses inject so many needles on his body. Eventhough he is not crying, I feel his pain at his early hour on earth and I could not do anything but just cry. He was diagnosed with HIE (Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalomalacia) Stage 2 and confined to ICU for 14 days. I was there all the time for him, sleeping on the hallway floor outside the hospital building with colds, mosquitoes and rains as my enemy just to make sure he is well attended by the doctors and nurses and to make sure that what my son needed be served ASAP.

When we are discharged at the hospital, we thought that our sacrifices is over but after 3 months, we go back again to the hospital because he is having a convulsions/seizures 300x per day. He then again confined for 5 days, after 2 days, his seizures came back again. After long months of check-up and medications, we decided to go to other doctors to find cure to his seizures but until he is still having seizures which occur 50 - 80x per day.

We tried already different types of medicines such Phenytoin, Phenobarbital, Valproic Acid, Steroids, Tranxene and even the ketogenic diet using Ketocal Milk from America.

My son now is 1 year and 5 months and still struggling to fight his seizures. As of now, he could not talk, he could not see, he could not eat (feed only through feeding tube inserted to his mouth), he could not sit, he could not crawl.

In line with this, I am knocking on your kind hearts to help us financially with our problem. Hope you could help us in any means. Even a small amount is a big help for my son to survive.
