Help Monika Heal

Earlier this year, my mom Monika Roberts (wife of Tony Roberts, was diagnosed with LMS (soft tissue sarcoma), which came as a huge shock to all of us. She had been walking around with a large tumor for the better part of 3 years, with pains coming and going but unaware of the severity, till finally she was correctly diagnosed in February 2015. All cancer markers were clear with biopsy and it wasn't until the tumor was removed and sent for tests that it was finally confirmed as LMS. Fortunately we are on a Health Insurance plan which includes some dread disease cover. This helped immensely to cover cost of hospitalization for biopsies and surgery for tumor removal. But due to the great expense of surgery it left them with little cover for the upcoming chemotherapy treatments. They have managed to wade their way through to the end of six sessions of chemo, via our leftover funds, loans and a generous donation. However, my mom is now only half way through her treatment and in order to give her the best chance of full recovery it would be best to continue straight on with the planned radio therapy. Unfortunately we have now exhausted all financial avenues, till our new allocation of health insurance kicks in early 2016, but waiting that long could mean a huge set back in her progress.

All who love and hold Monika dear, I'm sure would agree that we want the best possible outcome for her and that is why I am reaching out on her behalf - in the hope that we can make the continuing treatment possible.
