A burger meal package is always good to have.

Sometimes we have them once too often.

What if we knew that a friend was hungry and needed one, but we didn't know?

Well, we have such a friend, and he needs help.

Max Andrews went to Scotland to get his doctorate in divinity studies, and along the way, got thrown several unexpected curve balls that left him deep in debt for medical bills (Max has Crohns disease and has been struggling with this for years) and in financial limbo, with just less than a year to go to finish his degree.

If we all pitched in to raise the funds he needs badly to overcome his current situation - grant funding stalled, back bills to pay, some employment opportunities that just came in - though it will take him a long time to address these bills, and a doctoral dissertation and other requirements to finish to be able to graduate and get back into the mainstream - he would appreciate it very much.

If we all pitched in the equivalent of one burger meal package and got it together for him, he'd be able to focus, finish, and pay it forward as we are all accustomed to doing.

So, can we give up one burger meal for Max? We could settle for something cheaper and more nutritious (though probably less savory) for one meal and help a friend become a well honed defender of the faith in the academe, complete with credentials.

One burger meal won't make us hungry. But it will sure help in helping a friend alone in a foreign land finally finish what he started several years ago and finally go to his next destination. If a few hundred of us decided to go for fruits instead of a savory burger meal and gave it up for Max, we'd be able to do it together.

Who knows? One day in the future, you'll see each other, and maybe he'd buy you a burger and say thanks.

Right now, we need all the help and prayers we can get for our friend Max.

God bless you for adjusting your diet for one meal, and giving it to Max.

  • God bless Max. I give you this money in Jesus name. I happened to have money I owed God (backed up tithes) and this is a good opportunity to give it. Sorry, there was a mistake donating before... didn't recognize that "Go Get Funding" ="mangopay" on my bill.
