Campaign Story
Hazelwood Integrated College is an all inclusive mixed ability school in North Belfast that seeks to equip our young people to overcome the challenges they face and preparing them to take secure steps into a successful future.
With the desire to raise aspirations and increase the depth of life experience among our students we will undertake a trip of a lifetime to trek Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in October 2016.
Six student and two staff will attempting to reach the summit of Kili, for some of our students this project will be the biggest event they ever take part in, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
The money raised will be going towards three areas of the project. These three areas are: 1. covering some of the costs of the trip for our students (all participants have paid 90% of their own costs), 2. partnering with six students from a Tanzania who will accompany us in this challenge (we will be paying their full costs) & 3. supporting a local Sucide prevention charity (PIPS).
