Our wonderful Johanna lost her life in a boating accident on the Mekong River in Laos on 11th April 2015. During the time Johanna was missing, the Villagers of Laos camped out on the river beds and continued to search for her during the hours of darkness. Even though they live in a poverty stricken country they were extremely kind and thought nothing of handing back wallets they had found in the river that were still full of money. The family and friends of Johanna will always be grateful to them. This fundraising page will be our way of saying thank you to them and remembering Jo in a positive way. We are grateful to everyone for their support & kindness during this very sad time. Rather than send flowers, we would like to request you make a donation through this page instead, so that the villagers of Laos, can benefit. We will keep you updated via this page on how we will present the money to them - whether it be by providing them with books or building them a school - all the funds received will go to them in some way.  Many thanks The Family and Friends of Johanna Powell xx

Summer Review of our Fundraising Activity

Update posted by togetherforjo Taylor at 01:32 pm

Our first official event was organised by Jo's family in their local pub the Rose & Crown in Pontypridd on 3rd July 2015. And what a night it was! Jannay sang some amazing tunes to kick start the evening while many of you bought raffle tickets and drank beer from. . . . .
