Three-and-a-half-year-old Bilal was born into poverty. He shares a tiny shack with his mother and siblings in a small village in Bangladesh. Bilal’s mother was born and raised in this same shack, and can’t see a way out of the cycle of generational poverty. Bilal’s mother tries to find odd jobs washing clothes in return for food, but the work is sporadic. In order to survive, the family relies on the kindness of neighbors. Bilal’s older siblings can’t attend school because there isn’t any money.Your generous donations provide food and other essentials to children like Bilal and the chance to break free from the cycle of poverty.
