Beauty on the Edge – Building a Safe Nest for children

My Philosophy

I believe each one of us grows in life through challenges we face. As it is during these times that we persuade ourselves to cross and move beyond our own limitations. In doing so, a vastly huge space gets created that becomes a breeding ground for personal transformation.

My Motivation

So, I decided to take up a Paragliding course in ’Classroom Without Walls’ section of my Grade 10 year. I love adventure as it helps me extend my personal boundaries & this was supposed to be no different, until I met Mr. Navin Gulia (Adventurer, Author, Social Worker). He runs an organisation ’ADAA Welfare Society’ for children that provides for their food, shelter, education & medical needs. Despite being physically challenged in a freak accident, his love for adventure continued unabated as he drove through the rough Himalayan terrain to reach the world’s highest mountain pass at 18632 ft., Marsimik La. His incredible enthusiasm for life & passion for adventure is infectious.

My Commitment

Inspired by this humble Human Being, I decided to dedicate my Paragliding Experience to the cause of the under privileged children of ADAA. I have already started preparing my self mentally, emotionally & physically for this adventure. I shall keep sharing my progress with you.Last but not the least I am committed to doing my bit to make this world a beautiful place.

- I would be undertaking 5 solo flights at the end of my course.

- I commit to work as a volunteer with ADAA this summer of 2015.

- I intend to raise 5000.00 CHF in funds to donate towards the construction of Shelter for the children of ADAA.
