New chair

Hi

My name is Chloe Thomas, I am 11 years old and I have cerebral palsy. This means I need special equipment to help me do things, like a wheelchair to get around in. I need a new piece of equipment to use at home that is a chair to sit in to play and eat, and a standing frame for my physiotherapy. My physiotherapist thinks this will be very good for me, but doesn’t have the money to pay for it so I have decided to raise the money to buy one myself.

So far I have sold some of my DVD’s and games I don’t need any more, and I am planning a sponsored swim, car boot sales and a raffle.

My Mum and Dad have created this page to ask if you could donate any money towards my new chair as it is very expensive.

This chair will support Chloe in both a seated and standing position. This will benefit Chloe by helping to stretch and strengthen her leg muscles and exercise her hips. Standing helps Chloe’s digestive system and the chair will allow her to spend time standing at home as well as at school.

The chair is called a Baffin Trio, made by Radcliffe Rehabilitation and costs £4000. Radcliffe kindly lent us one of these chairs in January this year for a couple of days, and we could see a positive effect even in a short period of time. As Chloe says above, her physiotherapist agrees this will be very beneficial for her, but due to budget constraints cannot fund it so Chloe is determined to raise the money herself. Any amount donated is very much appreciated, no matter how small.
