Two years ago I lost my full-time job. Then in January 2011 I fell and broke my right leg at the knee joint. Without insurance it has been very difficult. One month after falling the doctors found three (3) deep vein blood clots in my right calf due to inactivity from the broken leg. Faced with mounting medical bills and medications, I did all I could do to keep things going. After six months of recuperation my leg healed but I am still on the coumadin (blood thinner) because I do not have the money for the ultrasound that I need to be taken off the coumadin. After sending out over 300 resumes I have only been able to find a part-time job working 28 hours a week without insurance coverage. The medical bills continue to grow because I have to have my blood tested every two weeks to make sure that the coumadin levels are not to high or to low.  Up until three months ago I was managing to keep my house and everything going but I am now faced with eviction because I have fallen behind on my house payments. I have a Rotweiller named Chessie and a rescue kitty named Sassy and if I am forced out of my home I will lose my pets. The shelters here are over flowing and the only other alternative I have is to live in my car if I am evicted in the next 30 days.I am not lazy and I have worked very hard in my life to reach this point. I am so afraid of losing my home and becoming homeless. I pray everyday that God will take care of me. He has blessed me in so many ways over the years that I know he will find a way this time as well.I am praying that with your help and support that I will be able to keep my house and be able to afford the test that I need to get off the coumadin. The long term effects of the coumadin are horrific and I don't want to be on it any longer than necessary.I am so thankful for sites like this and I know that with God's blessing I will be able to reach my goal while being able to keep my house and having the medical tests that I need.I thank God each and every day for what I have and today I am thanking God for this website and the generosity of all the people who read this. I'll leave you with a heart felt "thank-you" and my favorite Bible verse, Jeremiah 29:11:"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."Cheri

Please Help...

Update posted by Cheri Carlson at 11:44 pm

me raise enough to keep my house and my Chessie the Rottie. It is now confirmed that by the middle of August things will change and I will be either in a homeless shelter or living out of my car.  I have been working as many hours as possible but. . . . .

Time is getting shorter....

Update posted by Cheri Carlson at 06:42 pm

Just got word that if things do not change I will lose my house the beginning of July. I am searching for a place to go but with my Rott there isn't much hope of finding anything. I cannot find anyone to take her and I will not do anything. . . . .
