Campaign Story
Hello everyone!
My name is Christin, I'm 21 years old and I finally decided to realise one of my biggest dreams.
I'm moving to Canada!
I've worked as an Au Pair for the last 4 years, during those I worked for several families, volunteered when I had the time and travelled and did sightseeing as much as I was able to. Until now I have only worked in Europe, but finally decided that I want to move to Canada on a permanent basis.
Relocation costs, such as flights, necessary funds, visa, sending off clothes and personal items that are too heavy to take in as suitcase and many other things are at a general high cost.
Beginning my newest adventure, becoming who I want to be and where I want to be, is very important to me and whilst I am saving 2/3 of my salary, this is not enough! I am on a 600 CHF salary and am putting away 400 each month, but due to living expenses, bills and emergencies I will most possibly have to use a part of this money to support myself.
I want to move to Canada because, like my mother says, I'm a gypsy at heart, I haven't found the place where I feel at home yet. Having family, my uncle and aunt, in Canada will certainly help me not to feel too alone.
I am planning on moving to Canada, preferably the Vancouver area, in August 2016. Once I'm there I would like to work as a live-in caregiver or an au pair, but I'm absolutely willing to be a live-out caregiver, too.
I'd love to spend my free time travelling and getting to know the Canadian culture, volunteering with children and record my adventures via an online blog.
Sadly I can't ask my parents for any financial help as they're struggling from paycheck to paycheck with 5 younger kids at home.
Once I start my preparations and travels, I'd like to share those and help others with details and how to organise things the best way.
Ideally I would love to start studying at some point, either in a literature or childcare related field.
If you're still here, I'd love for you to consider helping me through sharing my campaign and/or even donating any amount you'd see fit.
Thank you so much,
Christin

My first thoughts
Update posted by Cornelia Christin Ostheimer at 12:38 amSo... I just added my fundraiser to gogetfunding.com and I'm absolutely nervous about how people will react to my wish of help and what they will think about me and my plans!
