Unemployed and need vehicle repairs/food

I have never gone to this level before asking strangers for donations to fund vehicle repairs or to help with food costs for my dog, but it has gotten to a point where I must do what I must do.In a nutshell, I have been unemployed for almost 5 years since the recession and had to recently sell my chevy blazer because I could no longer afford the upkeep of repairs and had to settle for another vehicle. This vehicle needs almost $1,000 worth of repairs (almost immediate) as I am in the process of moving in my feeble attempt to hopefully establish full time employment or be forced to move out of state. I need brakes (front/back), rotors, drums, struts and catalytic converter replaced ASAP. These repairs will also increase my job opportunties because I can then commute back/forth to work and also seek out employment.I educated myself on any repairs I could do myself to minimize expenses, but I am a web/graphics designer by trade, not a mechanic. I am willing to put forth all my effort into my own repairs, but I am unemployed, on food stamps and have to rely on selling personal items to buy my dog food.ANYTHING you can help with would be a god-send to me at this point.
