So, 7 years ago The Something Else Tea Tent was born at the first Bearded Theory festival - selling tea and cake with an open mic in the corner. Now we're a much loved festival venue and campaign space supporting unsigned real music and talent.  The Tea Tent has always been a labour of love for myself and my quirky crew, so to make it viable - and to find somewhere bigger than my house for our end of season party - Something Else in the Dean was born. SEitD is a tiny, family friendly grassroots gathering, often described as 'old school', and is in its third sell-out year without having 'sold-out'. Rather than it grow, lose the aims, ethic and vibe, and become a victim of its own success, we launched two sister festivals this year - Something Else Somewhere Else, which will move around the country each year, and Something Else a bit North (which also sold out). All sounds just right, right? So why do we need your help? Two reasons. Getting all of this off the ground and maintaining it meant borrowing, and we now need to clear our debts. Secondly, we want to build our own solar-powered stage, pirate style and complete with backline, as well as making the Tea Tent solar, and also buy an extra roof panel, sides and poles for the tent so she can be a little bit bigger. She also needs two new side panels due to damage.  Next year's events are secure, but after that, we need to be out of debt and more self-sufficient. Your support is massively appreciated.  Big Love, Gail Something-Else xxx
