Dear Family and Friends,
Thank you for taking the time to read more about my volunteer project. I have been wanting to volunteer overseas for some time, and it is finally becoming real!I am currently studying pre-pharmacy full time at the Community College of Baltimore County in hopes to go to pharmacy school in the near future. I work part time as a pharmacy technician, and have realized that I very much enjoy helping other people! In January of 2014, I will be traveling to Vietnam with an NGO organization called Global Volunteer Network to care for children in orphanages, and elderly residents with disabilities. During these two weeks, I will be engaging myself by teaching English and crafts, bathing and feeding children, cooking, cleaning, etc. I am most excited to gain insight and a new perspective of culture and diversity, and hope that by changing the lives of others, my life will be changed as well.

Update posted by Nellie Krastel at 10:12 amBa Vi Orphanage/Disability Program (North) The two Orphanages are located in the picturesque Ba Vi province approximately 50kms from Hanoi. Ba Vi is a true delight with its mountain range and the flat lands for the farming of rice and various other fruits and vegetables. The centers are only 10kms. . . . .
