Campaign Story
Hello world. For those who don't know me, my name is Adriyel. I am a professional fairy, working as a sales minion for the fabulous Twig the Fairy, and bringing sparkly joy to children and adults. I am also a healer in the form of being a deep tissue massage therapist and reiki pracitcioner. I travel the country living and working at Renaissance Festivals, and enjoy living with the amazing community of fellow travelers that share in this lifestyle.
For many months now, since early Febuary 2013, I have been sick. I have a constant fever (around 2° above normal), and so far no cause has been found. Thankfully it has been deemed non-contageous, so I can at least continue to work without worrying about the safety of those around me. But work and life are still hard to manage when your brain has decided to become a zombie crockpot meal. On a good week I have just enough energy to work, with almost none leftover for fun. On a bad week, I do not have even the energy to work, though I do it anyway, and have no energy leftover to even make myself a healthy meal (or occasionally to eat at all, which is saying a lot for the foodie that I am!).
I have no insurance, and even with the help of the amazing organization called RESCU which exists in my community to help with such events, I am struggling greatly to afford medical testing and treatment. Currently there are no clues as to what may be causing this fever, and each test is a very expensive shot in the dark.
I do not like asking for help, and I like even less asking for money. But I need to get well. So I'm asking. Anything you can give will be appreciated immensely, and everything you give will be used to help me get well.

To all of you who have contributed money so Adriyel can find the healing she needs, her dad and I (her mom) thank you from the bottoms of our hearts! It is very difficult being on the other side of the country from your child when she's so ill, and being unable to provide the daily support for her she needs. I suffer from and am treated for depression already, but even with that I've hit a low place I've not seen in a long while. I'm having anxiety attacks again, have almost no appetite, and am struggling to get out of bed

It does not look like the Mayo Clinic will end up working out; since I'm not in as a patient yet, and am only here through Oct. 1, the timing seems unlikely. I am still seeking a doctor here, and other good healers too.

She is a general practitioner, and has recommended that I see someone in internal medicine, but the one person she knew to refer me to does not accept patients without insurance.I'm at a

Update posted by Adriyel Paymer Kolpy at 04:39 pmSpoke with my doctor. All autoimmune tests came back negative. Epstein Barr test was positive, but not currently active, and since according to the CDC "95% of adults between 35 and 40 years of age have been infected" this means essentially nothing. The antibiotic has not affected my symptoms positively

Even if this antibiotic works, there is still much healing to be done. I appreciate more than I can say all those who have helped

By Thurs. afternoon my temp went up about half a degree, and my energy level dropped to almost nothing; it seriously took me 2 hours to eat a burger. Double vial draw this time, but I still managed not to pass out. Banana split treat followed! I still hate needles.

After an hour long interview she emphatically recommended a strong course of antibiotics. This is no small suggestion from someone who usually deals in herbs and natural healing. So this afternoon I went back to my doc. . . . .

Update posted by Adriyel Paymer Kolpy at 09:31 pmWhite blood cell count still normal. Doc says this can happen when the body gets used to an illness, but it gives no clues as to what to look for next. We're going to try testing my thyroid next... Frustration level running very high right now.
