" I have lived in 48 different foster homes, childrens homes. I went into the care system at 13, ive lived in many different areas. i wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy, ive been in prison 3 times. To have somewhere to go after i left the care system would have certainly made a difference to my life, knowing someone was there who didnt judge me, who didnt hold my background against me"
"i would benefit from a centre in my area where i could go and speak to people who cared"
"Id love to know there was a door open 24/7, somewhere where people can help me get some grades, i didnt get any at school, but i want some now"
" i dont trust people that easy, so going to council and stuff to sort my place out is hard for me, if i could go somewhere to talk where their not going to talk to me like im thick would defo help me"
"christmas is worst time of year, it makes you feel s**t when you got no one, so it would be cool to go to a centre where we all feel same"
My aim is to raise funds to open a centre in my local area, to give young people a sanctuary, where they feel safe, wanted and respected. To know we are there to help and encourage them to go on to have fulfilled lives. There will be professionals that are passionate about the future of young people whom society put out on a limb at such a young vulnerable age. Please help with any donations, this will change lives whilst reducing crime levels, it will help alleviate alcohol and drug misuse, it will encourage young people into work instead of a life of crime or teenage pregnancies. Please help and thanks for reading.
