Help My Mommy Fight the Big C

Two weeks ago, on one fateful Valentine's Day, my mother was diagnosed with lung cancer. What started as heavy coughing turned into my worst nightmare. We all thought it was viral, because of the cold weather and the recent wedding stresses. Turned out it was something else.  We stayed for two weeks in the hospital and our bill reached almost PhP 200K. Then we went to the oncologist who started telling us treatment options and, to our dismay, learned about the cost of chemotherapy (about PhP 4,000 per pill / day). This is where I start to appeal for your kindness and generosity. I don't really know how we will be able to pay for all the medicines and treatment that is required to heal my mother.

She is 73 years old but still so bright and active as the College Dean of Nursing. She continues to be the light of our home, though for a long time, it was really just the two of us. She still dreams of travelling the world and, I'm sure of, being a grandma someday. I long for the day when everything will be okay again and she could guide me into being the best mother ever, like how she was to me.
