Campaign Story
Hello Everyone :) This is Pauline Joy from the Philippines, a 21 year old animal rights advocate and animal rescuer aspirant.
Ever since I was a kid, I love to cuddle with dogs and cats. I am a certified animal lover.
I grew up in a family who lives and raise farm animals. Everytime a dog or cat or cow dies, i cry and up until now I am 21 years old, I still do.
When I was on my 5th grade, I was about 9 or 10 years old, I joined a seminar workshop for the environment which was held in another state.
About an hour boat ride from the state where I came from.
It was my first time being away with my family for just about a week. I was assigned in the YELLOW ENVIRONMENT or the theatre
environment. We dramatize situations or scenarios related to our mother earth during the
seminar, discuss the number of endangered speciaes remaining and other stuffs related to the environment.
The whole activity really inspired me and because of that I have promised to myself that one day, I will be saving mother earth in terms of helping
abandoned, abused and neglected animals such as dogs and cats.
If before, I cry out loud that I cannot do anything because I am still a kid, now I am speaking up loud because I've grown up into a strong person and
I have the capacity now to fight for what I believe is right and now I can think of so many ways to pursue my animal rescue dream.
I have tried saving stray dogs and cats here in my end. But unfortunately I am having a hard time looking for sponsors. People here are not the same
with other people in other countries who considers their cats or dogs as part of their families. I tried feeding them using my personal allowance from my mom.
I admit I need more knowledge about how to properly take care of these animals. I know I really need help.
So now I am here at gogetfunding trying my luck if I can raise some funds especially that I have decided to come to Langkawi, Malaysia to volunteer in
LASSie or Langkawi Animal Shelter and Sancatuary Foundation. I want to learn, unlearn and relearn. Learn proper animal care. Unlearn those misconceptions
I have when it comes to animals, animals care, and etc. Relearn all the correct ways I know and develop them to better build a strong pet-owner relationship.
Now, I am asking for your help with my endeavor. I hope you try to visit my page, follow me for updates, write comments or even donate for me guys.
I want this badly. It hurts me everytime I think of the fact that I cant do anything for our furry friends. And I know this is the right time. I hope
you help me. Thank you for reading my bio/description. I appreciate that already. God bless us all!!!!
You can reach me at [email protected] or contact me 09493521745 or 09998083069. Thank You once again.
