Eye Surgery for Rescued Lionhead Bunny

We could not stand by and not help this beautiful Lionhead bunny! This bunny was surrendered to AZ Exotic Animal Hospital yesterday by his owner, who could not afford to pay for his medical care and was considering euthanasia. Rascally Rabbit Rescue agreed to take him in and help him receive the urgent medical care he needs. His previous owner suspects his eye became injured when a friend's dog played too rough with him. Estimated costs of eye surgery removal and medications is at around $700 and his surgery is scheduled for March 1st. Even though all our foster homes are at full capacity and we are currently not accepting surrenders, we knew we had to get this bunny the medical attention he needed.
